If you have visited and inspected an asset without using the KaarbonTech GrassSMART app on your tablet, you can retroactively add the inspection into the system in the Data & Insights hub.
Note: This is not recommended, as inspections and any other work should be logged on the tablet at the time and location of the works.
Adding an Inspection
Inspecting an asset allows you to record your visit to the asset and input the required information. The steps are the same for all asset types, but the questions may be different. Enter as much information as you can.
From the map screen, navigate to the asset in question. This can be done by moving the map, or searching for the asset ID using the Find Menu.
Click the required asset.

The asset pane will open. Click New Inspection.

Note: Every system is slightly different as it is customised for each customer. Some of the questions and/or photo uploads may be mandatory, and some may be checkbox lists rather than searchable fields.
You do not need to answer every question. You may skip any that are not mandatory or are irrelevant to your inspection.
Inspection details
When carrying out an inspection, it is advisable to input as much information as possible.
Click the Inspection Type drawer.

Select the type of inspection you are adding. For routine cuts, select Cyclical. For everything else, select Reactive. Reactive will not count towards any planned cuts and is treated as an extra visit.

Click the Accessible drawer

Select if the asset was accessible or not, and if any traffic management was required.

Click the Length on Arrival drawer.

Click to select the Length on arrival.

Click to select whether or not the grass was cut, and if so, which method was used.

Click to select any Defects that were present.

Click to select the Ground condition during the visit.

If you answered Not cut above, select the reason here. Otherwise, skip this question.

Click to select if any weed iiller or other chemical was applied.

Click to select if the area was up to spec at the end of the visit.

Click one of the photo drawers if you have photos to upload.

Click Choose file to upload a photo. Browse to the file on your computer and select it.

Add any final comments to the Any comments box, and set the time and date of the historic inspection.
Note: You will not be able to save the inspection until you have set the date and time, and it cannot be set to the future.

Click Save to save the inspection.
